We are delighted to re-launch our apprenticeship programme for 2022 and are recruiting for both an Insurance Apprentice and a Marketing Assistant Apprentice to join the team in September. More information on the marketing apprenticeship can be found here but keep reading to find out more about our insurance apprenticeship!
Hayes Parsons Insurance Brokers is one of the South West’s largest independent insurance brokers. The Hayes Parsons team provide bespoke insurance and risk management advice to several niche industries including construction, life science and technology, education, marine, museums, and heritage. We also provide personal insurance services for mid and high net worth individuals.
Our Aviva backed 15-month Apprenticeship is only the beginning of your professional journey with Hayes Parsons. The areas covered will include:
Account handling: from the start you will learn what insurance is and its purpose and how it supports customers with their own needs. You will handle enquiries and renewals in a range of our teams including Private Client, Commercial and Marine
Claims handling: see how our team deal with customers who need to claim on their insurance, the processes behind the scenes and how we support the customer to be put back in the same situation as they were before their loss
Support roles: you will also get to spend time with our Marketing, Accounts and Compliance team. You will get to see what goes on in the background and how these roles are integral to the success of a growing independent insurance broker
With the support of global insurer Aviva, you will be working towards a Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualification in addition to an industry recognised qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute. With regular face to face and online learning sessions you will really get to understand the world of insurance. You will also spend a week or two with Aviva in their offices in Bristol understanding how insurance is underwritten and all that it entails.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4, including Maths and English
Commitment to study an apprenticeship qualification
A professional attitude with a positive ‘can do’ approach to your work
Good interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work in a team and build strong working relationships
You will need to apply for this apprenticeship online via the National Apprenticeship website - Rotational Insurance Apprenticeship - Find an apprenticeship (findapprenticeship.service.gov.uk)
The closing date is 19th August after which we will assess your strengths and look at how you connect with our values. If you pass the initial screen, we will invite you for an interview.
