Hayes Parsons is an independent, Chartered Insurance Broker based in central Bristol. We are a dynamic, customer-focused organisation and specialise in providing niche insurance solutions.
We are looking for an organised, efficient individual with some previous customer service experience to provide administration support and help our Heads of Departments achieve their ambitious growth goals for our schemes business.
You will be providing administration support for our property owners insurance scheme which offers bespoke insurance policies to landlords and managing agents across the UK. In addition, you will also act as back-up for our market traders scheme; this is a liability insurance policy for individual market traders and crafters and having just launched a new online product it is an exciting time to be involved in this fast-growth area.
You will be responsible for:
Creating policy documentation for our customers and managing agents in a timely and accurate way at new business, mid term and at renewal
Answering customer queries via email and phone
Maintaining customer records, making sure they are compliant and accurate
Ensuring that our customers settle their accounts within their credit terms and processing online payments
Building good relationships both internally and externally
The role is full time and based in our central Bristol office and we would consider a working from home arrangement upon completion of your probation.
At Hayes Parsons we have a strong emphasis on internal training and staff development and as part of your role you will be supported in completing the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Certificate in Insurance. This is a level 3 professional qualification which will be fully funded by the organisation and will provide you with a good understanding of insurance basics.
It would be preferable if you have previously worked in a customer service role but insurance experience is not required as we will provide the necessary training. In addition, you should be able to:
Keep yourself and your team organised
Work quickly and efficiently and ensure deadlines are met
Know how to prioritise and be able to adapt quickly to change
Be able to work flexibly as some members of your team will be working in other offices or at home
Be proficient with all Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
Answer client queries in a professional manner
