A message from our Managing Director

“At the Hayes Parsons Group, we believe that responsible business is not an optional extra, it is fundamental to who we are and how we serve our clients, our people, and our wider community.

As Managing Director, I am proud to lead a business that recognises the impact our decisions have on the world around us. Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy formalises a commitment that has long been embedded in our culture: to act with integrity, to do the right thing, and to use insurance as a force for good.

This policy sets out how we are working to reduce our environmental footprint, create an inclusive and supportive workplace, and operate with the highest standards of governance and accountability. From reducing carbon emissions and embracing sustainable working practices, to investing in our people, supporting our communities, and holding ourselves to strong ethical standards, ESG principles guide our day-to-day decisions and our long-term strategy.

Importantly, we view ESG as a journey rather than a destination. We are committed to continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability, and we welcome feedback from our stakeholders as we continue to evolve our approach.

By embedding sustainability, diversity, and responsible governance into everything we do, we aim to create lasting value for our clients, our colleagues, and the communities we serve.”

Charity of the year

Hayes Parsons is committed to making a positive impact through our charity work, supporting a new charity every two years that is chosen by a vote of our staff. We support our chosen charity by raising awareness, volunteering our time, and fundraising throughout the year.

Our main fundraising event is our annual quiz night, which attracts around 200 attendees and has become a major fixture in the Bristol insurance market. For 2026 and 2027, we are proud to be supporting Alzheimer’s Society, helping to fund vital research and support for people affected by dementia and their families.

Previous charities we have supported

Supporting our community

Hayes Parsons is pleased to be a long time supporter and corporate member of Bristol Beacon.  Bristol Beacon is a music charity, renowned venue and award-winning music education hub. With a city-wide programme of live music, creative learning opportunities and community engagement, they help make space for music every day, with everyone.

Thanks to the support of their partners and funders, they;

  • Reach over 30,000 young people every year with transformative musical experiences
  • Provide 7,000 hours a week of music tuition to students in communities identified by Bristol City Council as being the most deprived
  • Invest £560k each year on subsidising music lessons and providing free lessons and instrument loans to all SEND children with an Education Health Plan and children in care
  • Develop, mentor and provide opportunities for the next generation of music industry talent in Bristol
  • Have the bold ambition to become the UK’s first Net-Zero concert hall

Apprenticeships and work experience opportunities

At Hayes Parsons, we offer an apprenticeship programme designed to support individuals at the start of their careers in insurance. Our scheme combines hands-on experience with professional qualifications, enabling apprentices to develop practical skills and build a strong foundation for long-term career progression.

We are committed to employing at least one apprentice each year, and many of our former apprentices have gone on to enjoy successful careers within Hayes Parsons and across the wider insurance industry.

We work closely with local schools to provide work experience opportunities for students from Year 10 onwards. Supporting young people within our community is a priority for us, and we are proud to commit to offering a minimum of eight work experience placements each year.

We are always keen to build new relationships with schools and colleges. In addition to work experience, we can provide guest speakers for assemblies, support careers days, take part in mock interviews, and attend careers or jobs fairs.
