We are looking for an experienced individual to join the existing accounts team within the Hayes Parsons Group.  You will be responsible for reconciling insurer accounts and bank accounts as well as maintaining the purchase ledger and working closely with the Financial Controller to produce accurate management information.

The CMTIA team sell liability insurance to market traders and stall holders across the UK.  This product is only sold online and so has a strong digital presence.

Ntegrity Insurance Solutions is the latest addition to the Hayes Parsons Group and is a Professional Indemnity insurance broker based in Bristol.

As an Accounts Administrator within the Hayes Parsons Group, you will be working across all four brands.

About the role

You will be working as part of a small team, some of whom are not based in the same office or may be working from home.  Your main duties will include:

  • Daily posting of cash receipts, payments and journals
  • Daily maintenance and balancing of the cashbook, reconciling payments with unpaid invoice records, and daily banking into the Office and Client accounts.
  • Ensuring insurer accounts are reconciled monthly and paid strictly within the terms of credit which apply, and query any ledger anomalies immediately
  • Ensuring all month-end routines are strictly adhered to
  • Assist with general accounts department administration


Your skills and experience

For this role, we require that you have bookkeeping experience ideally in the financial services industry and either hold or are working towards a minimum of AAT level 4.  You will also have experience with the following:

  • Handling accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, credit control and paying suppliers
  • Dealing with accounting software (experience with Xero and Sage would be an advantage)
  • Microsoft Office particularly Excel

You will also need to have excellent attention to detail and be a fast learner who can manage allocation across multiple platforms.

Location

You will be based in the Hayes Parsons office near Bristol Temple Meads but once your probation has been completed, you may be able to work from home for up to two days per week.  On occasion, you may also be required to travel to the Admiral Marine office in Salisbury.
